Dr Ahmed had a modest upbringing. Thus earning his medical degree was a major achievement for him. He began his medical career as a resident at Chicago’s Mt. Sinai Hospital. Dr Ahmed was in charge of the evaluation and management of adult patients. When it came to patient care, Dr Ahmed was all heart.
Dr Ahmed completed his residency and became the Chief Operating Officer at Loretto Hospital, where he led a clinical team of more than 150 doctors and 600 other staff members. While there, he oversaw the transformation of a private hospital with 177 beds that treated over 33,000 patients annually. Dr Ahmed was instrumental in leading the charge to elevate the facility to that of a premier medical research and community service institution. In his role as COO of Loretto Hospital, Dr Ahmed made substantial improvements to the hospital’s bottom line by using his commercial expertise. He doubled sales from $60 million to $100 million in a little over two years.
Dr Ahmed also established Heart of Health Clinics in 2021 to provide medical services to the uninsured and refugees. One of Dr Ahmed’s life’s missions has been to expand access to healthcare for all people. Dr Ahmed states, “Caring for individuals improves the world, one person at a time.”
Training Doctors
Dr Ahmed is a highly decorated graduate of the Windsor University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree (M.D.). He also graduated with honours and made the Dean’s List.
Dr Ahmed did a long residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago after graduating from medical school.
Dr Ahmed also attended the famous Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, earning a certificate in Principles and Practices of Clinical Research.

Dr Ahmed had profoundly benefitted his family and community via his job as an entrepreneur since he entered the profession at the age of 13 to help support his family when his father became paralysed from the waist down.
